What would you do if your home was flooded, burned or destroyed by a hurricane, all because of fossil fuels burnt in a country you had never visited?
If you were forced to flee because of the climate crisis you might expect some solid legal protection, but you’d be looking in vain.
We are calling on world leaders to put protections in place for those forced to leave their homes because of global heating. There’s no time to lose.
Since 2008, weather-related hazards have displaced an average of 41 people every minute, and this humanitarian crisis is only going to deepen as the climate breaks down further.
This is fundamentally an issue of climate justice. It’s time for us to join together in standing up for one of the most basic human rights: a safe home to live in.
Your action today is to stand up for climate refugees with us. Can you add your name to the campaign?
