Crepuscular activity

This is my first comment about our bird watching activities, of which, there have been many. Yesterday evening we went out to a known site where Eagle Owls are. These birds are the largest feathered predators in Europe with a wing span of 138 cm up to 170 cm. Some bird! I have been fortunate to see them before but I was always want to see them again. Michelle has not been that lucky and yesterday evening she had to be satisfied with hearing a male calling. There was no sighting this time but we will try again.

JOIN ME with other writers, readers, listeners and supporters at the 7^th ‘OPEN MIC’ on 7^th February, 7.30pm at Chadwick’s, Villamartin.

Come and meet members from Stanza Mar Menor Poetry Group , Torrevieja Writers Circle, U3A and Wordplay.  Listen to their poems, short stories and articles of amusement and interest or better still read something of your own. This is an ‘open mic’ event so come and participate. 

Included in the central part of the evening is WORDPLAY’S  POETRY AND PROSE COMPETITION which will culminate in December with the final where the overall winners of this year’s event will be judged. The rules are simple with a maximum of forty lines for poems and a maximum story length of about 3 minutes. The Wordplay theme is ‘29^th Day’- it is a leap year!
