In a follow up to my recent email regarding the demo outside the Chelsea Flower Show, I’m happy to let you know that as well as being outside the show on Saturday 25th May, I will also be leafleting at the main entrance points from 10am to 7pm on Wednesday 22nd May and Thursday 23rd Mayand from 10am to 4pm on Friday 24th May. This is to protest the Chelsea Flower show being sponsored by The Newt in Somerset who allow one of the worst fox hunts in the country to meet on their land. And we will be handing out as many leaflets as possible throughout the week to deliver our message to attendees that The Newt in Somerset should ban hunts from their land. Of course I don’t expect many of you will be free during the week and it is very last minute but below is the plan of action for our leafleting throughout the next few days. I would love to see some friendly faces! So if you’re London based and want to get involved and you’re free for even an hour or so from Wednesday 22nd - Saturday 25th May then please say hello and help me hand out leaflets! Feel free to leave a comment on this post, email me at - volunteer@protectthewild.org.uk or simply turn up on the day! :) Our Facebook Event page is the best place to go for all of the latest updates. The days of action will be very peaceful, friendly and accessible. And I have already reached out to the event and the Met Police to inform them of our planned activities and we’re all good to go! :) The double sided A5 leaflets that we will be handing out as well as the plan of action for the event can be seen below! If you’re reading this and aren’t up to date about the campaign or why we’re doing this demonstration please check out this article. A big thank you to every single one of you for supporting the campaign for The Newt in Somerset to ban the BSV Hunt from their land. Below are the online actions you can take if you aren’t able to make our London days of action.
