We’re hosting a demo outside of the world famous Chelsea Flower Show on Saturday 25th May. Hang on, what?! Why? Well as it turns out (thanks to some of our supporters letting us know), the headline sponsor of this year’s Chelsea Flower Show is none other than The Newt in Somerset! Yup. The very same establishment that we have been asking for weeks now to stop hosting the violent, fox killing BSV Hunt is the proud leading sponsor of the Chelsea Flower Show which attracts 100,000+ people and is viewed by millions on TV. You couldn’t make it up. Maybe this explains why the hotel have ignored all of our emails and calls and have not replied to a single one of the 11,000+ emails that people have sent to them.. They just don’t want the bad publicity in the run up to this huge event. Well unfortunately for them we have decided this is the perfect opportunity to host a peaceful demo on Saturday 25th May outside the venue. We will be letting the public know that the Newt in Somerset aren’t as squeaky clean as they like to make out. And that in reality they have hosted the awful BSV Hunt for many years. We will be right outside the gates holding a giant 8ft banner depicting the hotel and an image of a fox that was ripped apart by the BSV Hunt. We will also be handing out literally thousands of leaflets to members of the public and attendees. And so this is where I need your help. To make this day as impactful as possible and to demonstrate to The Newt in Somerset that they really shouldn’t be playing host to hunts, we need as many people as possible handing out leaflets and joining us outside the venue.

Chelsea, London - SW3 4SR If you’re based in London or nearby and you’re anti hunt and want to take part in a peaceful demonstration, (an hour or two is perfect by the way!) please come along! You can do as little or as much as you like on the day and everyone is welcome! I appreciate for many it may be your first experience of being at a demo or in leafleting (it is still fairly new for me too) but I will be there to talk you through it on the day and be on hand to answer any questions or concerns :) If you click ‘going’ or ‘interested’ on our Facebook event page that would be ideal so we can keep track of numbers and know how many leaflets to bring with us! Thank you for your continued support with our newt campaign. We really are doing all that we can to get a win for wildlife and to showcase to pubs, hotels and all businesses across the country that associating with hunts is bad business. Whether it be animations, undercover work, demos, supporting activists, petitioning, we are doing everything we can to help protect British wildlife and it is a privilege to have you in our corner.
