Help Protect the Wild this Earth Day!
First held on April 22nd 1970, Earth Day is an annual event to demonstrate support for environmental protection. And here at Protect the Wild we understand that in protecting British wildlife we must also do what we can to protect the planet we call home.
And indeed there are many overlaps with the work that we do and the potential benefits we could create for the environment here in the UK. Perhaps the most obvious is the impact made by the shooting industry. Large parts of our uplands are being burned, causing serious environmental impact. And this burning increases the risk of flooding and emits high levels of carbon into the atmosphere.
It is just one of the reasons we are fighting hard to end the entire shooting industry. And across the board we are always striving to do what we can to reduce our impact as an organisation. Our small, dedicated team all work remotely and we don't pay out for fancy offices. And whilst we would love to not sell any products at all, we are constantly improving the eco credentials of the items in our shop.
We recently released a new zero waste range with items made using non-recyclable plastic waste. And we are proud to sell the UK's most eco-friendly reusable bottle! We are continually working to ensure everything we do is as environmentally conscious as possible. |
