Helping Carmarthenshire’s bumblebees: major project now underway

A major new conservation project has begun in Carmarthenshire to protect some of the UK’s most threatened and beloved bumblebee species, with local communities at the heart of the effort.
Cynefin i Wenyn is a three year initiative funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund which will work to restore and reconnect vital habitats for bumblebees on the coast from Llanelli to Cydweli.

When you start identifying bumblebees you might find it a little daunting. Some of our 24 UK species appear similar, but if you look carefully (if you have the chance!) there are some telltale differences π€
