Raise your voice: join us for a workshop
The next general election in 2024 is on the horizon. It’s going to be one of the most important moments for nature in a lifetime. The next government will be in power for much of the time between now and 2030, the date by which we want to see 30% of land and sea under good conservation management.
With our supporters, Cornwall Wildlife Trust would like to make a difference to the narrative of this general election. We want to raise the profile of environmental issues with parliamentary candidates, showing how much so many people in Cornwall care about nature and the climate crisis.
We can’t do this on our own! We’re hosting two small workshops to begin discussing these issues and formulating the most effective and powerful response.
As a member of Cornwall Wildlife Trust, would you like to attend and get involved?
Thursday 2nd November 3.30-4.45pm – Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s HQ (Allet, near Truro) – book your place here
Thursday 2nd November 5.30-6.45pm – online by MS Teams – book your place here
These workshops will be led by Cheryl Marriott (Director of Nature and People), James Webb (Director of Fundraising and Communications), and myself (Individual Giving Officer).
We will cover the following areas:
- Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s approach to political campaigning
- Exploration of The Wildlife Trust’s five priorities for politicians ahead of the next general election
- Ideas for public engagement
- Discussion of further steps
