FROM PROTECT THE WILD — THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO PROTECT

View this email in your browser For years, hunts have wreaked havoc across the British countryside—endangering lives, damaging property, and disrupting communities with virtually no accountability. From reckless quad bike use and trespassing to dangerous road incidents and a blatant disregard for public safety, the scale of their offending is enormous. And it’s not just wildlife that suffers. At Protect the Wild, we’ve spent the past few months working on a way to expose the full extent of this chaos—and we’re excited to say we’ve found it. In just a few days, we’ll be launching a brand new website that will bring together, in one place, all the non-wildlife-related harm caused by hunts. It will shine a light on their impact on people and communities—and help us ramp up pressure on police forces across the country to finally act. I can’t wait to share it with you. This new platform forms part of our multi-pronged approach to ending hunting once and for all. We’re tackling this issue from every angle: Our Annual Hunting Report exposes how hunts continue to chase and kill wildlife—this year will mark its third edition. Our upcoming Hound Welfare Report will lay bare the suffering endured by foxhounds used in hunting. Our website bloodbusiness.info lists the companies and organisations that support hunting—so you can make informed choices about where your money goes. Our news articles and social media posts reporting on hunts are seen by millions every month. Our Equipment Fund provides essential tools—like cameras and radios—for those on the ground monitoring and sabotaging hunts. Our new mental health initiative, Protect the Mind, offers free support sessions for wildlife defenders on the frontlines. And this soon-to-launch site will reveal the scale of disruption hunts cause to people, property, and public life. On top of all that, we produce powerful animations, speak to the media, publish long-form videos on our YouTube channel, and use every available platform to push this issue into the spotlight. And we’re not stopping—several more campaigns are already in the works as we fight to secure a full ban on so-called “trail hunting.” I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved as a small but determined team. If you believe in what we do and want to show your support, picking up a car sticker is a simple but effective way to get involved. They only cost a few pounds and help spread the word wherever you drive. Thank you for reading, and thank you—as always—for standing with us. Your support means everything.
