I stood in the Makerfield by-election in order to directly tell (the now) Prime Minister Andy Burnham that we need meaningful action for wildlife. Nothing but strengthening and enforcing the 2004 Hunting Act is good enough if we are to finally see an end to people ripping wild animals to pieces for the sheer fun of it. We helped ensure tens of thousands of responses were submitted to the recent Govt consultation and now thousands more have sent our letter outlining concerns that ‘drag hunting’ could be used as the new smokescreen. We’re funded entirely by people like you, our wonderful supporters. We don’t have any Govt funding or big corporate backers and due to the nature of our work we’re not eligible for most grants!
